Creating Jobs in Armstrong County: Governor Shapiro Secures $31.7 Million Investment from Brunk Industries to Expand Manufacturing Operations, Creating 64 New Jobs
The Commonwealth is investing over $4.1 million to support the metal forming company’s growth in South Buffalo Township.
Since taking office, the Shapiro Administration has competed for and won over $41 billion in private sector investments that are creating over 25,000 new jobs and driving economic growth across Pennsylvania.
This announcement further points to the Shapiro Administration’s successful strategy to drive economic growth, create jobs, and position the Commonwealth as a national leader in manufacturing.
Harrisburg, PA – Today, Governor Josh Shapiro announced the Commonwealth has secured a $31.7 million investment from metal forming company Brunk Industries to expand operations in Armstrong County. The Commonwealth is investing over $4.1 million in the project, which will create 64 new jobs over the next four years and retain 11 existing, full-time positions.
The company currently leases 6,000 square feet at the Tech Center II facility at the RIDC Armstrong Innovation Park in Freeport. Brunk Industries will construct a new 20,000-square-foot manufacturing facility on 20 acres of land in the Innovation Park, which will be the first phase of a multiphase construction project.
“Pennsylvania is proving that when we invest in our strengths, we can compete with anyone — and Brunk’s decision to expand here is proof of that,” said Governor Shapiro. “My Administration is focused on making the Commonwealth the best place in the country for businesses to succeed by developing sites for new projects and giving companies the tools they need to thrive. Every investment we secure means new jobs, stronger local economies, and more opportunity for Pennsylvanians — and we’re going to keep competing aggressively to bring even more businesses and jobs to our Commonwealth.”
Coordinated by the Governor’s BusinessPA team, Brunk Industries received a funding proposal from the Department of Community and Economic Development (DCED) for a $4 million Pennsylvania Industrial Development Authority (PIDA) loan and a $160,000 WEDnetPA grant to train its workers.

Brunk Industries is a contract manufacturer specializing in micro-precision, light-gauge metal stamping, and complex component assembly. The company designs custom tooling and produces parts for highly regulated industries like medical devices, aerospace, automotive, and defense. Brunk’s Freeport location is the Brunk Technology Center, which focuses on Die Design, Die Components, Rapid Prototyping and supporting production and engineering at Brunk’s manufacturing facilities.
